LEGO 2K Goooal, a soccer-based take on Denmark’s most famous bricks, may be the worst kept secret on PlayStation – especially now previous frontrunner Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 has released. The title, which has been rumoured for eons, has now popped up on the PS Store’s back-end under the name Build Up, complete with official artwork. The listing has since been deleted, but nothing can ever truly be removed from the Internet, eh?
2K Sports signed a deal with LEGO last year, which encompasses three titles, including the relatively recent LEGO 2K Drive. This football game is allegedly being developed by UK studio Sumo Digital, and will likely adopt an arcade gameplay style to set it apart from sims like EA Sports FC and eFootball. A third sports game is also planned, although it’s currently unclear which activity it’ll be based on.
Nevertheless, in addition to the errant PS Store listing above, LEGO 2K Goooal has already been rated for release in South Korea and Taiwan, suggesting an announcement must be imminent. We’re genuinely curious to see what this one looks like, so we’re hoping some kind of trailer drops in the near future.

A Sensible World of Soccer/Emlyn Hughes International Soccer/Actua Soccer mash-up would be most welcome.
@riceNpea Emlyn Hughes International Football brings back some memories..
Remember being able to change the pitch to the most horrendously eye burning colours..
@dellyrascal yeah 😊 loved the player names too. I distinctly remember all the Italian players were names after pasta. Tortellini was my favourite forward 😁 can't believe it was 1988 when it came out.
Also really like Olympic Soccer on PS1.
I expect this to be more realistic than EAFC.
Such a terrible shame it's 2K. It'll be stuffed with microtransaction crap.
@riceNpea If they released SWOS with updated teams, players etc then that would be me sorted. No need for eFootball and FIFA ever again!
Third game is Lego 2K Boules
Worst kept secret?
First I’m hearing of it.
@HeeHo this was leaked on several occasions throughout 2022 and 2023.
The expectation was that it would be called LEGO FIFA 2K24.
Take two aquired both the FIFA and LEGO license last year for exclusive development and they expressed to only have interest in lego sports titles.
@tomassi same. But I'd still play Pro Evo if they release a Master League.
@tomassi I remember a cover disc on something like Amiga Format that had Unsensible Soccer where it was apples vs oranges and the ref was a pear!
I miss traveler's tales. 2k has shown they don't know anything about the charm of lego and this new game is further proof of that.
@riceNpea Same, although sadly that looks like it will never happen at this stage!
@sanderson72 yes! There were some classic versions of Sensi on the magazine covers. There was a World War 2 one which was black and white and the ball was a bomb that would explode every so often!
